UKIP Leadership Dispute Deepens
No sign of Roger Knapman doing the sensible or honourable thing by resigning as UKIP Leader according to this BBC News report,

According to ex-Leader Jeffrey Titford, discussions will continue. (Read the UKIP version from

). Titford now laughingly titled UKIP MEP Chief Whip, was once better known in the party for having replaced Michael Holmes when what the
Observer
has described as the racist and extremist New Britain Party mounted its own leadership putsch and for a short period had its (ex?)-members as UKIP Party Leader, UKIP Party Chairman and UKIP Party Secretary.
Nowadays that extremist party is down to two known former members only: the aforesaid Chief Whip Jeffrey Titford and of course Mike Nattrass still 'barmily' up there as Deputy Leader. (He characteristically replied to a UKIP member this week, who had the temerity to suggest that Kilroy might make a good leader - "
.. then you have been away for a brain transplant on planet Zog
."
Elsewhere the widely spreading rumours of massively growing support across the party and country for an end to the present corrupt leadership regime is given credence with a quote from the
Financial Times
as follows:-
But the FT says it has seen a letter in which some members of UKIP's national executive committee, branch chairmen and members of the London Assembly question Mr Knapman's position.
The letter, written to UKIP chairman Petrina Holdsworth, says: "The only way to clear the air is for Roger to submit himself to a full vote of the membership in a leadership...
"This will give the democratic legitimacy to the party leaders that is currently lacking."
It would be fitting if sense were to return to the Party from the Country's Capital, where the battle must eventually be joined. The meeting today was held in Brussels - what more needs to be said!
Anybody know how come the FT has seen this letter and not yet Ukip Uncovered?
