Knapman must have known that he was LYING!

Knapman must have known that his statement to the BBC - claiming that all UKIP members signed a declaration stating that they had never been BNP members - was false.

Think back to the high pressure sales office in Ashford, (read here and here) set up under the control of John Moran, (read of his role in the Head Office Lockout from here), recently removed as a Branch Chairman of the 'Democracy Movement' for the unconstitutional misdirection of their non-political funds to UKIP!

While many on the UKIP NEC were kept in the dark when this operation was set up, it beggars belief that Knapman was not one such. It was he, Farage and ex-Chairman Lott that authorised the establishment of the sales team at Ashford, Kent. An operation that has signed up literally thousands of new members without them having to complete any membership form, let alone one with a non-racist declaration on it.

I have been told that most of those signing up for membership at Ashford paid by credit card; a few by cheque. No membership form was involved. Sales pressure was so high that there were many cases of people - often pensioners - ringing Ashford within a few days to ask for their credit card payments to be rescinded.

Workers at Ashford were set daily targets for membership and they were not even required to be members of the party. The high pressure telephone sales team (read an example of their techniques from here), were on commission and were encouraged to use methods such as the manifestly false line: "Most people at the moment are signing for membership for 5 years!" - and, indeed, we even hear that quite a few members then had £100 deducted instantly from their account, we imagine by now, to their great regret.

(Readers may wish to remind themselves of the shady background to the Ashford operation by reading 'Item 7' to the agenda for the emrgency NEC meeting last November, linked from here.)
