Knapman's Radio Four Lie!

The actual words of Knapman's total distortion of the truth on Radio Four's PM programme this evening are now available to be re-played from this website - click here (the interview plays at about twenty minutes into the broadcast).

Exactly what he said has been noted and I can confirm it was as follows:-

"We are the only party who if you want to join it, will not accept people who have been with the BNP, they have to specifically sign that they have not been members."

This can be immediately proved as a totally false statement by a visit to the UKIP's recruitment page, linked here.

As someone who recently went through the whole (re-joining) process in order to be considered as a candidate in Hartlepool - I can absolutely confirm that I was never asked if I had ever been a member of the BNP (Which for the record I have not, nor the National Front either!).
